Meta

Meta AI, initially established as Facebook AI Research, makes LLaMA-2.

LLAMA-2 is a second-generation large language model (LLM) developed by Meta. It is arguably an open-source LLM, unlike some of its counterparts like GPT-4 and PaLM 2, which are closed-source. This means that LLAMA-2 can be freely accessed and utilized for both research and commercial purposes, though Meta does require permissions for applications targeting over 700 million users.

The model is available in several versions, with parameter sizes of 7 billion, 13 billion, and 70 billion. Beyond that, there are many modified and tuned models available on Hugging Face based on LLaMA-2.
